Diamondbacks 1, Cardinals 0
Game 1 of the season for the Cardinals and D-Backs was a showcase of heaters.  The Cards would put Steve 2 on the mound both bringing and smoking heaters, and the D-backs would counter with the always hard-throwing Cota.  Striking out 22 batters between the two, it was apparent that one run would make the difference.  In the bottom of the fifth, with Pink on first base and two out, Moneyshot knew the situation and hit a gapper for a double, scoring the only run of the contest.  The D-Backs would take the first game of the season 1-0.
