In Game 1 of the HRL Finals it didn't take long for the first run to go up on the board. On the first pitch on the game Edgar took Hjal deep to left center to put the Red Sox up 1-0. Immediately it looked as though the Red Sox 2012 Champions T-shirt prediction was going to hold true. But in the bottom half of the 3rd, H8R took the offering from The Man over the left field wall to knot the game at 1. Both pitchers dug in until in the top of the 6th when Edgar took Hjal deep again over the right field fence this time. The Man followed with a homer of his own to add a bit of insurance on the next at bat. The Gothams couldn't do anything with their last at bats in the 6th. Final score of Game 1, Red Sox 3, Gothams 1.
