In Game 2 the Gothams faced the uphill battle of facing Tugboat just to get the chance to play the rubber match. In his 4 previous starts this postseason Tuggy had yet to give up a run and allowed only 17 men to reach base over 22 innings of work. This game started with much of the same with the Gothams not reaching base until late in the contest. Web Gem managed to match Tugboat on the mound while allowing only 4 base runners over 8 innings. The lone run of the game got started when Web Gem hit a line drive just over the 2nd base bag to get on. Two batters later Hjal grounded back to the pitcher and an errant throw trying to nab Web Gem off between 1st and 2nd went to the back wall and Web scampered around to score the game winner. Game 2 Final (8 inn), Gothams 1, Red Sox 0.
