A rematch of the 2006 Hopkins Wild Card Series (HWCS) featured reigning cy-wiffle Shirls VS The Man in another classic battle.
The PADS jumped on the board early with a leadoff home run by Shirls but The Man's bend but don't break pitching sustained the Sox into the middle innings when their bats came alive. The game featured 2 solo and 1 two run homerun from Dr. Jesus. This was the the first time anyone has ever hit 3 homers off of Shirls in a single game (a record that likely will not be broken).
The PADS added a run in the 5th when Westy scored from 1st on Nine's double, but the PADRES!!! rally came up short. Red Sox win on the power of The Man's arm and Dr. Jesus' bat.
